MoltenMolten: a Shopify store rebuild
MoltenMolten came to me through the agency Drew and Rose in 2021. The job was a full rebuild of their Shopify store, and I was the lead developer on it.
The brief
Rebuild the MoltenMolten Shopify store as part of the Drew and Rose team. It was my first solo Shopify build. A senior developer was on hand as a fallback, but the build itself was mine to lead.
What I built
Rather than rely on what the theme gave us out of the box, I built the key parts of the store by hand:
- Custom sections
- Product page layouts
- Collection filters
- The header and menu
Building these myself meant the store wasn’t limited to the theme’s defaults.
The result
MoltenMolten is still live today, and it still runs on the build I did in 2021. Years on, the custom sections, product pages, filters and menu I built are still doing their job.
